As an employer, we collect personal data in for a variety of purposes such as; recruitment, training, payment and performance review. Any time Harvey Norman collects, retains or shares personal data regarding your employment we ensure to rely on a lawful basis for doing so, in accordance with Article 6, GDPR.

This Privacy and Cookies Policy applies to Harvey Norman Trading (Ireland) Limited (“us”, “our”, “we”, “Harvey Norman”). As a payment gateway provider, Worldpay handle all debit card, credit card and Mastercard payments for www.harveynorman.ie. We do not collect your credit card or banking details as online payments are handled by Worldpay and PayPal. Video Chat

All our new VideoChat calls will be recorded for quality control and training purposes. Any personal data shared on the call such as name, email, or address will be recorded and stored in the EU. This information is secure and will not be shared with third parties. Harvey Norman & the VideoChat provider will retain this information for a period of six months after which it will be deleted.

Use of Augmented Reality (AR) Technology for Wearable Devices

To enhance the user’s experience, this website includes an option for customers to utilise augmented reality and visualise wearing a product. This applies to a small range of wearable technology products: smart watches and fitness and activity trackers. This requires users to take an image of their arm/wrist to virtually replicate the wearing of the product. The AR functionality on the website is managed by a third party provider, TangibleeAR, and any images submitted by the user will be retained for a period of twelve months by this third party. The use of the AR functionality by the user is optional and no processing of personal data or image capture is undertaken without the user’s consent when choosing to use this function on the website.
