Harvey Norman Lovetech facilitate a trade-in transaction between customers and third-party trade-in vendors. In doing so, Harvey Norman Lovetech reserve the right to pass traded devices to the appointed third parties as required. Upon issuance of trade-in credit, ownership of the traded device is waived by the customer with the traded device becoming the property of the chosen third-party.

The trade-in credit value is determined by the condition of the traded device following an evaluation by the Harvey Norman Lovetech team.

Trade prices are subject to change on a monthly basis, therefore all trade offers are subject to inspection at the time of trade-in.

Enhanced credit values are included in the total trade offer. Enhanced credit values may also vary from month to month.

Once a device is submitted for trade-in, a credit value is issued to facilitate purchase within Harvey Norman. Trade-in credit is issued on a per-device basis, bulk trade-in is not possible. Trade-in credit is not valid tender outside Harvey Norman and must be used in the issuing store. A maximum of three trade-in credits can be used on a single Harvey Norman purchase. Where the trade-in credit is not used in full for a new purchase, the balance of credit will be made available via a Harvey Norman gift card.

Any refund for new purchases (if required) will be offered using the same tender type as the original purchase.

Where a trade-in credit is used, any refund or credit issued will be in the form of a Harvey Norman gift card. It is not possible to issue a trade-in credit in the form of cash or any other tender type. This does not affect your statutory rights.

In cases where a purchase using a trade-in credit is cancelled, it will not be possible to return a traded device to the original owner. Once the trade-in credit has been issued, the traded device cannot be returned.

It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that no personal or identifiable information is stored on the traded device. In cases whereby confirmation is provided that no data is present, Harvey Norman Lovetech take no responsibility for the presence of personal data on the traded device.

The Lovetech team offer a data wiping solution as a chargeable services, if so required. Once issued, the trade-in credit value cannot be amended or altered by Harvey Norman. Trade-in is available on selected brands and models only.

Harvey Norman reserve the right to refuse trade-in services on devices that are not eligible e.g. blacklisted devices.
