Join us in helping those experiencing homelessness this February with the Harvey Norman ‘Making Homes’ campaign in aid of the Peter McVerry Trust.
This year, we’re aiming big!
Together with our customers we managed to raise an incredible €350,000 over the last two years; now we want to bring that tally up to €450,000.
There are loads of ways you can support this campaign:
- Buy a product from our 'Making Home' collection and €5 will be donated to Peter McVerry Trust.
- Add €1 to your purchase at checkout and Harvey Norman will match it.
- Donate in-store all month to our fundraising activities, you can find a list of our in-store activities below.
- Donate what you can online by clicking our “donate” button.
- Donate what you can to our collection buckets in-store.

With an estimated 10,000+ people, including 3,000 children, now homeless in Ireland the amazing work undertaken by the Peter McVerry Trust is more important than ever before. All monies raised will be donated to the Peter McVerry Trust by of a cash or product donation.

IN-STORE FUNDRAISING EVENTS
Visit your local store and support our teams with their exciting fundraising events. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will help those experiencing homelessness in Ireland today. There will be lots of fun and treats and all monies raised will go to the Peter McVerry Trust.

MAKING HOMES
COLLECTION
Peter McVerry Trust is a charity set up by Fr Peter McVerry to reduce homelessness and the harm caused by drug misuse and social disadvantage.
The charity is actively delivering a Housing First model to meet the needs of people who are homeless, including people sleeping rough, people exiting prison and people with a history of U18s residential care. Peter McVerry Trust continues to advocate for the scaling up of housing first as part of a housing led response to homelessness across Ireland. The Housing First model provides homes and a range of services to individuals to facilitate their journey into mainstream society, addressing their diverse range of needs along the way.
For the month of February 2020, Harvey Norman is fundraising for the Peter McVerry Trust. Our goal is to bring our total fundraising to €450,000 to help fit-out more homes for those experiencing homelessness. The money raised will be donated in full to the Peter McVerry Trust in a combination of products for homes and cash for support services as directed by them.
The money will be raised through the following channels:
- Harvey Norman will donate €5 for every product purchased by customers from the Making Homes collection in store, the full list of products can be viewed here. The collection will be identified in-store with a sign or sticker.
- Customers can add a €1 at the till and Harvey Norman will match the first €1 added to any purchase
- Staff and customers can contribute to fundraising activities carried out during the period, money can be donated by putting it in a fundraising bucket in store. No purchase is necessary.
