When shooting in Live View, Dual Pixel CMOS AF makes autofocusing faster and more accurate so your shots are sharp and in focus. You also get 3,975 selectable AF positions across your frame for more flexibility in composing your shots.

Eye and Face Detection

Capture every emotion in razor-sharp quality with Eye Detection AF that focuses and tracks the eye of your subject in Live View mode. EOS iTR AF (face detection) also ensures clear portrait shots by tracking the face of your moving subject in viewfinder shooting.

Superior Viewfinder Shooting

When shooting through the optical viewfinder, the all cross-type 45-point AF sensor makes precise focusing on moving subjects quick and easy. There is also no time lag between the actual subject’s movement and the viewfinder’s display, so you do not lose track of your moving subject. The number of AF points varies depending on the lens attached and the aspect ratio setting.

High-speed Continuous Shooting

Sometimes, photo-worthy moments happen in the blink of an eye. Don’t miss the action unfolding before you with continuous shooting at speeds up to 7.5 frames per second in Live View One-shot AF or 7 frames per second in viewfinder mode.

4K Video Resolution

For maximum comfort, buttons and dials on the EOS 850D are positioned for easy and convenient shooting. The customisable Quick control dial allows for fast adjustment of your shooting settings and quick browsing of photos in playback mode. Bluetooth Enabled

Pair your camera and smart device via Bluetooth low energy technology to maintain a constant connection between your camera and smart device. You can also pair your camera with a wireless remote control such as the BR-E1 or your smartphone to perform remote shooting, for instance, when you want to take a group photo while your camera is mounted on a tripod.

Scene Intelligent Auto
